In Tribute of David Hiscox

David Hiscox

Help us honor our loved one while making a difference in myeloma research.

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), along with its research and medical industry partners, has fueled more studies, initiated more trials, developed more treatments, introduced more medicines, and have had a far greater impact than any other organization on myeloma. While the MMRF has made enormous progress, they still have much to do and cannot continue to do great research without your support.

Please consider joining me to fight multiple myeloma. Together we can make a difference.

About the MMRF:
A pioneer in precision medicine, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) seeks to find a cure for all multiple myeloma patients by relentlessly pursuing innovations that accelerate the development of precision treatments for cancer. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF has created the business model around cancer—from data to analytics to the clinic. The MMRF identifies barriers and then finds the solutions to overcome them, bringing in the best partners and aligning incentives in the industry to drive better outcomes for patients. Since its inception, the organization has collected thousands of samples and tissues, opened nearly 100 trials, helped bring 11 FDA-approved therapies to market, and built CoMMpass, the single largest genomic dataset for any cancer. Today, the MMRF is building on its legacy in genomics and is expanding into immune-oncology, as the combination of these two fields will be critical to making precision medicine possible for all patients. The MMRF has raised nearly $500 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. To learn more, visit themmrf.org.

Jill and Family: Terri and I send our condolences. We were greatly saddened to read the news. I never knew David was so accomplished in so many things outside of the law. I already miss the discussions we used to have two or three times a year about the stock market, politics, government...his views and mine were well aligned. I wish I took time to know him better.

Dave has been a neighbor and dear friend for over 25 years. We will always remember him lovingly, having enjoyed many football playoffs and March Madness games through the years, holiday evenings and family gatherings together, as well as him lending his expertise in the law to us as he prepared our legal documents. Our hearts go out in sympathy to Jill, Matt, Jess, and the entire Hiscox family on the loss of someone so special. Our lives are all better for having had Dave to share so many joyous moments with us. He will be kept close in our hearts and be part of some of our fondest memories.

22. David Wazeter
Dave was like a big brother to me. I really looked up to him and tried to emulate his success in music, running, and school. Despite his many talents, he was also humble, more interested in highlighting his friends accomplishments rather than his own. I will miss cinch games, running, playing our instruments, and laughing and reminiscing whenever we got together. My deepest sympathy to Jill, Matthew, Jessica, and the entire Hiscox family. Waz

I am glad I had the opportunity to meet such a nice person. He certainly raised a great son as well which I just so happen to love. Thanks for all the funny moments I got to share with you and for always welcoming me into your life and your home. Thankfully for your son your love for music and cars will live on! You'll never be forgotten Dave, Love, Ali Kilby
