In Memory of Don Baylor

Created by Becky Baylor

Don Baylor

We mourn the loss of legendary MLB coach, manager, and player Don Baylor, who has succumbed to multiple myeloma at the age of 68. As a player, Don broke early racial barriers, and he was known throughout his career as a fearless batter who crowded the plate; he approached his battle with multiple myeloma with this same fearlessness. Don was a member of the MMRF Honorary Board and he and his dear wife Becky are longtime friends of the MMRF. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

"Don passed from this earth with the same fierce dignity with which he played the game and lived his life," his wife, Becky Baylor
