Running in honor of Diane Hogan

Created by Nora Capocci

Diane Hogan

Join me in honoring my Auntie Diane and making a difference in myeloma research.

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), along with its research and medical industry partners, has fueled more studies, initiated more trials, developed more treatments, introduced more medicines and have had a far greater impact on myeloma than any other organization. While the MMRF has made enormous progress, they still have much to do and cannot continue doing great research without our support.

On October 8th, among thousands of others, I will run in my third Bank of America Chicago Marathon, but this time I will do it with an extra set of wings. On Monday, August 28th, 2017, Diane Hogan joined the angels after her relentless fight against multiple myeloma. Diagnosed back in 2005, it had been uphill an battle for Diane, from stem cell transplants, infections, heart surgeries and everything in-between, and in spite of it all, her strength and determination continued to amaze us. I do not know of anyone that was more strong-willed than my aunt and there is no one I would rather dedicate my 26.2 miles to than her, my Uncle Chris & three cousins - Hayley, Hayden & Hannah.

Please join me to fight multiple myeloma because no one else deserves to suffer. Together we can make a difference. Together we can help end multiple myeloma by supporting the much-needed research to find a cure.

Thanks-a-bajillion. My auntie Diane would be proud & thankful for your support. If you cannot make a gift at this time, I understand and ask that you please keep my Uncle & cousins in your prayers during this difficult time.

About the MMRF:
The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research. The MMRF continues to disrupt the industry today, as a pioneer and leader at the helm of new research efforts. Since its inception, the organization has raised over $330 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. To learn more, visit
